The Center for RNA-Mediated Healthy Longevity studies how changes in RNA during the aging process affect aging and longevity.
Specifically, we investigate the roles of mRNA quality control, and noncoding RNAs including circular RNA, long noncoding RNA and tRNA-derived small RNA, in aging.
Our research team primarily utilizes Caenorhabditis elegans, an optimal model for aging research, and also tests whether our findings are evolutionarily conserved in cultured mammalian cells and mice.
